The INNIO way to a sustainable future
INNIO is committed to a climate-neutral, greener and more secure energy future.
Our Jenbacher and Waukesha gas engines
As a global provider of energy services, equipment and digital solutions across the energy value chain, we are always looking for new energy sources and better energy solutions that offer industry-leading emission levels and reduced carbon footprints to support our customers and their communities. Many of our products have passed stringent sustainability tests for efficiency and energy savings.
Our continued progress on disruptive technology innovation drives our increased competitiveness across diverse global energy segments. Moreover, we give back by supporting and contributing to efforts that make our communities safer, cleaner and better places to live and work.
Our sustainability journey is a collaborative process involving all parts of our Jenbacher and Waukesha organizations, from employees to communities to customers to suppliers.
Sustainability means that INNIO’s products unlock the transition to a carbon neutral future, our sites are committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and waste, our employees are fully engaged at the workplace, and our communities are receiving unwavering support through our diversity and inclusion efforts.
For us, sustainability goes beyond our protection of the environment. As a corporate citizen, we are ethically and morally bound to recognize our responsibility toward human rights, labor and anti-corruption.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, INNIO has proudly aligned with thousands of other companies and non-business signatories globally and joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
In joining this critical voluntary leadership platform, INNIO continues our path to build on an expanded commitment to our environmental, social and governance (ESG) program. Our Sustainability Review Board is tasked with developing our ESG goals and strategy in close alignment with our growth strategy, as well as international standards such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Now as part of the Global Compact initiative—which is focused on the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices—we continue our commitment toward responsible business action to create a better world.
In recognition of INNIO’s sustainability efforts, our Jenbach headquarters received a Silver Medal in February 2021 from EcoVadis – a prestigious sustainability rating agency.
Placing us among the top 17% of industry peers. Our ambition is to achieve Gold Standard. EcoVadis is the world's most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. More information can be found here.
