Waukesha Product Training Center Virtual Course Requirements

Waukesha Gas Engines offers reliable compression and power in the most remote locations across the globe. With this in mind, we're pleased to offer our foundational courses, GET and ESM, virtually. Our virtual platform allows us to provide the same high-quality instruction we offer at the Product Training Center while students log in from their workplace or home.

  • 2021 Waukesha PTC Engines

These sessions are not pre-recorded, listen-only webinars – instead, they will be conducted the same as our in-person courses: The same timeframe, the same course materials, and the same interaction. In helping to maintain high student engagement and participation throughout these virtual courses, please note the following requirements:

 

Platform

  • Zoom Pro will be used as a platform.
    • Students click the link provided in the enrollment email, and the system will download the free software needed.
    • Students unable to download software onto their device can view it through the browser version.
  • A laptop or other device is required for each student.
  • Cameras are required to be on for the duration of the course and exam.
  • Details regarding internet speed and other requirements can be found here.
  • Access to the Waukesha Customer Portal is required - instructions will be provided in the enrollment email.

Attendance

  •  Students may attend at their homes or in their offices.
  • Companies may choose to host a group of students in a room to view together.
    • A video camera, speakers, and microphones are required for this option to ensure the trainer can see everyone and that each student can ask questions and be heard.

Course Duration

  • Each course will be hosted for five (5) days.
    • Typically this will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday. 

Student Materials

  •  Hardcopy student materials will be shipped to your location before the course.
    • We will not ship materials to individual technicians if they are attending from home.
    • Accompanying engine manuals will be provided in digital format.
  • Course completion certificates will be shipped to your location after completion of the training.
  • Waukesha software downloads are required before some of our courses
    • ESP, DIA.NE, XT4, etc.
    • Links will be provided in the enrollment email.

Value

  •  The cost of Waukesha training is not discounted for virtual delivery.
    • The value of our training is in the knowledge gained, skills learned, and efficiencies the technicians can take back and utilize in their daily work, rather than the location of our trainer.

 

  • These courses are limited to 25 attendees. Early enrollment is highly suggested.
  • Access to the Waukesha Customer Portal is required to access the final course exam. For more information on setting up your SSO for the first time, please click here.
