Upgrade of Jenbacher* Type 6 engines to the latest J-Version gas exchange and combustion technology reducing fuel gas consumption and abolishing low temperature heat rejection losses, by an increase in electrical or total efficiency.

What can this upgrade do for you?

  • Reduced fuel gas consumption up to 4 percent through increased electrical efficiency.
  • Up to 1.9 percentage points higher electrical efficiency.
  • Extended service intervals through enhanced intercooler (hot/tropical climate versions only), pre-combustion chamber and blow-by system.
  • Lower lifecycle cost and increased uptime due to extended service intervals of pre-combustion chamber, blow-by system and intercooler (hot /tropical climate versions only).
  • Optional: Increase of total co-generation plant efficiency by up to 4 percentage points at almost unchanged electrical efficiency.

How we get you there?

The upgrade package for Type 6 F-Version includes a variety of enhancements. The complete bundle of measures ideally applies during a minor or major overhaul. The upgreade is available for Type 6 E-Version and F-Version for standard or hot / tropical climate conditions.

Upgrade applicable for all Type 6 F-Version gas engines. Upgrade also applies to Jenbacher Type 6 E-Versions but need to be handled as non-standard request.
